Next steps after May 1, 2025

Depending on your payment device, your next steps may or may not involve action on your part. The following are instructions to help you identify what your business needs to do to get ready for the May 7 compliance date.

It is mandatory for you to remove percentage tipping options on your payment device. This needs to occur locally on your payment device, as we can’t push this change on your device for you. Follow these instructions to remove suggested percentage tipping on your FLEX device:

1. From the terminal, select “Menu” Select “Configuration” > “Enter” (Green button)

2. Enter the Administrator Password > “Enter” (Green button)

3. Press the down arrow and scroll to “Tip” > Enter (Green button)

4. Press the down arrow and scroll to “$ only” > Enter (Green button)
