Cancel a payment

If you take a payment and need to cancel the transaction, you can perform this task directly from the Genius Mobile Pay app.

  1. Navigate to the transaction history, by selecting the ‘Payments’ tab at the top of the screen.
  2. Select the payment that you want to cancel.
  3. Select the ‘Transaction Cancellation’ button.
  4. Review the transaction details, and then select the ‘Cancellation’ button.
  5. A warning message will appear, to confirm that you want to continue to cancel the transaction. Select ‘Confirm’ if you want to cancel the transaction.
  6. The cancellation request will be processed and once complete you will have the option to send a receipt to the customer.
  7. Funds will be returned to the original card that the transaction was originally completed with.

Note:

You cannot cancel payments no older than 93* days and you can only cancel each transaction once. Also, cancellation may not be available in some app settings.
